Day Twenty-Seven, 2025
Electrical Fire fun
After a weekend filled with love and trusting the kids to not throw a party we got home watched our youngest play a league hockey game and then were able to head to bed early knowing middle would be home by 9:15
9:30pm all cars in the driveway and heartbeats safe at home and we are both in bed. Until middle starts frantically calling DAD MOM I think the stove is on fire!! So we race downstairs (this is why I don't sleep nude people - SHIT happens) only to find a strong horrible smell and a freaked out daughter who had the smarts to hit the cancel button which made the flames stop.
We are so thankful that the kids wanted subway for dinner and they did not cook while we were away and we've spent the whole evening searching for a new stove.
I'm tuckered right out and outside the next storm in brewing so that's all the excitement I've got in me and nothing new to say except that I'm so happy it was not worse. Looks like we'll be eating only things that can be made in a rice cooker and air fryer the next few days.
Thankful for a little lesson in gratitude and a reminder that things could have been worse
