Day Thirty-Seven, 2025
Nothing much happens
Another day of;
- slept not enough (had to be the first one to wish a Happy Birthday)
- worked little too long (but accomplished a few things on the list)
- pizza for dinner (because they requested it but I made a quick stir fry for myself - frozen veg, leftover rice & a jar of pre-made sauce + sriracha)
- brain dead tv time (finished a series - The Other One ✔)
- walk with soul dog (warm enough that she carried herself around a couple of blocks instead of like last night when I carried her over half way home - this dog will not wear boots - her choice)
- load of laundry, tidy kitchen, daily writing (Hello)
- will proof sons cover letter next, then a little reading and off to bed
Friday Eve & only a few moments nearly off the rails - let's see if we can remain centred tomorrow...
Best way to make that happen is heading to bed now.
One recommendation - Podcast We can Do Hard Things: recent episodes with Martha Beck have given me some decent perspective and added another book to my reading list - definitely a must listen - don't forget it's a two parter The second one where Martha coaches about death stopped me in my tracks to listen - it's a great approach that eased my heart a bit.
Hope you enjoy your next unexciting day the way I've enjoyed mine.
